Summer activities
Adventures among the mountain peaks
In summer, the scenery seems a picture postcard: emerald green meadows dominated by the mighty Dolomites. An idyllic spot for easy walks in the valley and challenging high-mountain hikes. But Alta Badia is also the right place to test your biking abilities, both in road cycling and mountain biking. A good deal of adrenaline is reserved for those who prefer climbing, fixed rope routes, paragliding and hang gliding.
Winter activities
Pleasures of the white season
Perfectly groomed slopes with stunning panoramic views, guaranteed snow and unique emotions. That's Alta Badia in winter – one of the Italian capitals of Alpine skiing and snowboarding, a stage of the famous Sellaronda circuit and a part of the immense Dolomiti Superski territory. But lots of fun is also waiting for you off-piste, with snowshoeing tours and ski mountaineering. Among freeride areas stands out the legendary Val Mezdì, that stretches out till Colfosco. Besides, there is no lack of cross-country ski trails and winter hiking routes.
Their Majesties the Dolomites
Unique, inimitable, stunning
So fascinating and imposing, that in 2009 they were declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Dolomites charm, astonish, conquer with their bizarre shapes and with the flashes of Enrosadira at sunset. Nowadays, they are easy to explore thanks to a network of summer and winter mountain lifts that facilitate significantly the ascent. Yet there are still lots of virgin sites, such as the Nature Park Puez-Geisler, right behind Pcei Guest House, a unique mountain world, with rare species of Alpine flora and fauna.
